Mertik Maxitrol Remote Repair Details

Manufacturer : Mertik Maxitrol

Customers Fault Description : The units are used to increase/decrease the temperature on the fire. The display on the remote is barely visible and the 'down' button does not work. The 'up' button seems fine. I have cleaned both units and changed the batteries, but the problems remain.

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This fireplace control and receiver arrived safely and on inspection the battery cable in the remote had signs of a battery leakage, this cable was replace but the faded screen issue remained.

This was remedied by replacing the screen.

No problem could be found with the receiver

After longer testing and crystal change the repair failed and a replacement unit is the better option
