Arcam Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : Arcam
Customers Fault Description : Suffered a period of intermittent function; thought at first it was just certain buttons maybe 'worn out', then very intermittent on all suggestive of worn out batteries (but replaced) or loose connection (but can't get into it to find out). Now all totally dead - no LED-light visible via phone-camera on any button-press.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This remote arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
This was due to a faulty oscillator, a replacement was fitted which restored full functionality. The IC solder points were also re-flowed as a precaution.
