Customer's Fault Description
Buttons up right hand side of controller… don’t know if it’s been stood on or something… kids…
Main symptom is volume down button jamming, sound keeps
Going down in sound bar as if button is jammed on… sometimes you can get it off by pushing buttons and bending control slightly etc… sometimes the power button seems to fix it…
When it happens you can see the Infa red light on control is lit and won’t go off…
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on testing was found to stick on transmitting when either the volume or power buttons were pressed.
This was due to the contacts "decomposing" and sticking to the PCB effectively shorting the contacts.
Replacement button pads were fitted under the originals which eliminated this issue and restored full functionality.
A CR2025 Duracell battery will be supplied fitted on return.
