Sony RMT-D259 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : Certain buttons now not reponding - eg down arrow in centre. Hopefully need a good clean??

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This Sony HDD remote arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to have various sluggish / non responding buttons.

On opening the was due to liquid contamination inside the remote, this was all cleaned up but some buttons still were non responsive.  The liquid had eaten though the button contacts.  Replacement conductive pads were glued into place which restored full functionality.
