Purpleline Remote Repair Details

Manufacturer : Purpleline

Customers Fault Description : The remote will not turn on. The battery compartment cover is missing, and I have tried 4 new batteries but still no joy. I have spoken to you this morning informing my Dad has looked at it so it has been opened recently. Anyhelp greatly appreciated.

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This remote arrived safely and on inspection was found to be missing its battery cover.

On testing the control was confirmed to be dead.  When opened the aerial was found to have been soldered to the PCB at both ends, this is only meant to be connected at one end.  The wrongly soldered end was disconnected.

The LED was found to have blown, a replacement LED was fitted (a blue one) which then restored full functionality (see testing video).

A replacement battery cover was supplied as we had a spare.
