Infinity Remote Repair Details

Manufacturer : Infinity

Customers Fault Description : The spring on the battery broke off, Tried to fix to no success. Also the lights to the remote were staying on all the time and they should only come on when you press a button and go off again after 5 seconds.

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This remote arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead.

On of the battery terminals was faulty, a replacement restored power but the bottom button was found to be non responsive meaning it couldn't get past the clock set feature.

The button was replaced which restored functionality.

There was also a capacitor that seems to have corroded away from the PCB due to a battery leak, this was replaced.

Unfortunately the Screen dim effect (the timeout for illumination) seems to be still non functioning.  This means that the remote will remain illuminated and wont timeout.  Sadly this cannot be repaired as it appears to be a software issue.
