Customer's Fault Description
The remote control works correctly if it is connected to the charger and switched on at the mains. It does not work as soon as the power is switched off. Therefore it does not appear to be able to hold any charge. Also, the connection for the charger seems a little far from the opening of the charge port. The micro usb needs to be pushed very firmly into the unit to get far enough in. Therefore the pcb with the connection may not be in quite the correct position. Also, the blue light to indicate charging flashes intermittently. These issues may all be related so I wanted to list them all.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This remote arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead.

This was due to a faulty battery, one of the terminals was found to have ripped and was not repairable.

A replacement battery was ordered and fitted which restored full functionality.
