Musical Fidelity M6s Remote Repair Details

Manufacturer : Musical Fidelity

Model : M6s

Customers Fault Description : The amp does not respond at all when I point the remote at the IRS sensor. I have replaced batteries on the remote and dimmed the lights in the room when I press the buttons on the remote, in case light interference is the issue. I moved recently and the remote may have been banged about a bit but there is no visible damage. I also tried cleaning the IRS lens on the amp, but no change.

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This remote arrived safely from the United States and on testing was found to be totally dead.

This was found to be due to a blown IR LED.  A replacement LED was fitted which restored full functionality.
