Customers Fault Description : Battery connection missing

This Awning remote arrived safely and on inspection the case was damaged, battery terminal and battery cover was missing and the case was covered in a tacky substance.
The case and holder was cleaned up to remove the substance as the case required gluing which would not adhere to the case in its current state. A replacement terminal was created and glued into place. This restored full functionality but the batteries would not stay in position without a battery cover, a makeshift battery cover was created (replacement covers are not available as spares)
