PDT KF04-433RC Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : Replaced the battery because it stopped working. The battery only lasted for a very short time. Replaced again and no longer working at all. Looks to have a bit of corrosion on the circuit board :(
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This remote arrived safely and on testing was initially found to transmit on the top 2 buttons but after a short period of testing the control died.
On opening there was a large amount of corrosion over the main ic and spots of corrosion over the button contacts.
The button contacts were reworked and the IC solder re-flowed which restored full functionality.
The customer is to test the remote fully on return, we have tested the signal being transmitted and confirmed it to be correct (see testing video) but we cannot say if the correct "Code" is being transmitted which is a possibility whenever the IC suffers damage.
