Homcom Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : Homcom
Customers Fault Description : Remote not responding at all, no lights etc. It did work originally for a few weeks.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This Treadmill remote arrived safely and on inspection was in peices, on testing was confirmed to be dead. This was due to the common issue of the battery terminals being bent out of place effectively shorting out the power source.
The terminals were bent back into position and the remote reassembled and when re-tested was found to be functioning as per normal (see testing video).
IMPORTANT - A Duracell CR2025 battery will be supplied fitted on return. It is very important to take note of the terminals position when it comes to change the battery in the future as it is easy enough to bend these terminals again if the battery is not inserted correctly. The issue of misshaped battery terminals is a user error and therefore if they are bent out of position again then it is not covered by a guarantee.
There is no need to replace the battery inside this remote for some time, therefore please do not remove the battery until it is dead.
