Customer's Fault Description
The fob will not disarm the alarm on my motorcycle (Honda VFR 800)
When pressing the disarm button, the light flashes (as if battery requires replacement) but does not disarm my alarm.
I have replaced the battery but it has made no difference.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Datatool Bike Alarm / Immobiliser remote arrived safely from Suffolk and on testing was found to be transmitting on both buttons. The LED was confirmed to flash but it is not known if this is due to the need to pair the controller with the receiver.
The right button was found to be collapsed making it very sensitive. After talking with the customer it was concluded to replaced the buttons in case it could be causing an issue with the pairing process.
Both button were replaced and the rest of the control tested with not other issues being found.
