Valor Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : The remote does not switch the fire on and off but it will change the settings of the fire ie one or two bars.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This Valor remote arrived safely from Tyne & Wear and on testing was found to have sluggish response from the top 2 buttons.
When opened this was found to be due to the conductive pads decomposing and contaminating the PCB contacts (see image). The PCB was cleared of all contaminants and then replacement conductive pads glued under all buttons which restored full functionality.
