Customer's Fault Description
A little bit of water got into the remote, the buttons work and the lights turn on however the av system does not pick it up, wondering if you would be able to fix this.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Amplifier Remote control arrived safely from London and on testing was found not to be transmitting a signal on any button press.
The case was found to have some scuffs and cracks on the bottom.
The fault was found to be due to a faulty IR led, the LED was replaced which restored partial functionality. It was then found that the volume buttons were unresponsive due to worn button contacts. Replacement conductive pads were glued into place which restored full functionality.
