Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on testing was found not to respond from its power button press. The control was opened (please note that there is some discoloration on the facia due to the opening of the remote)
Both the facia button contacts and the PCB had signs of water corrosion on both sides causing a few open circuits (see images).
The print was cleaned up and reworked which restored full functionality. (see testing video)
