Zero response from Pure Evoke-3 DAB radio (it responds fine to a second remote I possess)

This Pure Evoke remote control arrived safely from Westminster and on testing was found to be dead.

When opened there was corrosion around the main IC (see image), This was causing various open circuits to many of the pins.  The print was reworked which restored full functionality.
