remote no longer operates system (tried new batteries / cleaning)
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Sony remote arrived safely from Wirral and on inspection there were many cracks in the case and signs of attempted opening (dents around the seams), the case cannot be replaced as spares are not available.
On testing the remote appered to be dead. The IR led was foudn to be bent inside the case, this was repositioned which restored partial functionality. Many buttons were then found to be non responsive.
This was due to worn button contacts. Replacement conductive pads were glued into place under all buttons which restored full functionality. Please note that the buttons will not be sensitive (i.e. you don't need to press them hard)
