Customers Fault Description : flavel gas fire remote we have like gas type hiter remote control doesn't work at all I have sent photo on WhatsApp o To.

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This Flavell gas fire remote arrived safely and on inspection the battery cable was found to be damaged and had been worked on prior to arrival with us.

The battery cable was replaced but the remote remained dead.  The 7133 regulator was replaced and the remote sprang to life (see image), unfortunately when re-testing after reassembly the remote was found to be dead again.

This was then thought to possibly be due to a faulty oscillator, a replacement was fitted which again caused the remote to spring to life but again sadly it failed again after a few minutes.

A heat test was carried out and it was found that when the main IC was heated the remote would work.  Apparently when changing the regulator and oscillator the heat used was enough to trigger the main IC to work but when it had cooled down the deadness would reappear.

Unfortunately this IC is not available as a spare making a repair not possible. 

Replacement remotes can be found on eBay (we do not sell them ourselves), as there is no model number on this remote it is best to check the model number of the receiver and get the suitable replacement for that item.
