Hormann Remote Repair Details

Manufacturer : Hormann

Customers Fault Description : Remote began to operate intermittently. I replaced the battery but still intermittent operation. Unit has now stopped working completely even if held close to garage door control unit.

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This remote arrived safely and on testing was found to be transmitting a strong signal at the expected frequency (40.686Mhz).

The remote was opened to check for defects but no fault could be replicated.  The controller was then tested at random intervals over a 3 day period without an issue being found.

The customer is to re-test the remote using a quality Duracell 12v battery to eliminate the possibility of it being a power issue, failing that it could be an issue with the receiver.

As no issue could be replicated this item has been classed as no fault found.
