Nu-flame Mertik Maxitrol Remote Repair Details

Model : Mertik Maxitrol

Customers Fault Description : Doesn't light fire despite having new batteries. But as red light showed briefly, I think/hope it can be repaired. Hasn't been dropped or damaged.

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This Remote control for coal-effect gas fire arrived safely from Hackney and on testing was found to have erratic functionality.

This was due to a faulty regulator, the regulator and the battery cable was replaced which restored full functionality.
