Customer's Fault Description
The remote control no longer connects with the main Bose equipment; the main remote control continues to work OK.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Bose remote arrived safely from Lytham St. Annes and on testing was found to be transmitting without a button being pressed.
When opened there was contamination over the button array (see image), this was shorting out one of the button contacts overriding the other buttons ability to function.
The PCB and button array were cleared of all contaminants and when re-tested was found to transmit as normal on each button press.
Item was returned as it would randomly transmit without a button being pressed. Sadly this was very difficult to pinpoint as whenever the item is touched it would start working again. The repair was refunded and returned 21st Mar 2023
