Mertik Maxitrol Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : i dropped the remote and now nothing works. No power.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This Bellfire remote control arrived safely from London and on inspeciotn the battery cover was missing (this cannot be replaced as spares are not available)
On testing the remote was confirmed to be dead. This was due to a SMD diode breaking away form the PCB. This diode was replaced which restored full functionality.
