Flamerite fires Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : We have purchased a house and the girl moving out says the remote doesn't work which is why the fire can't be operated as there are no buttons to operate on the fire so it needs the remote

This Flamerite remote controller arrived safely from Stoke on Trent and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
On opening the issue was found to be the LED was broken away from the PCB (see image). A replacement LED was fitted which restored full functionality.
