Customer's Fault Description
Started to malfunction intermittently. Cooker light was the last function to stop working New batteries no help. Now nothing works.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Westin Cooker Hood remote controller arrived safely from Leek and on inspection the PCB was found to move around freely inside the case. This causes the buttons to be "misaligned". It was also found that 2 of the LED clear covers were missing which is a sign of it being dropped,, these were nit found inside the controller and cannot be replaced. The act of dropping this remote also also causes the mounting pin to break allowing the PCB to move around.
The PCB was hot glued in to place which restored full functionality.
