Customer's Fault Description
Remote not responding - has not been used for some time and the batteries have leaked. Cleaned out and tried with new batteries but not worked. A wire may have been detacehd from the battery compartment while cleaning it.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Gas Fire Remote controller arrived safely form Blackburn and on inspection was found to have a melted case down the left hand side and a badly damaged battery housing from a battery leak. (the case cannot be replaced as spares are not available and functionality is not effected by the case)
A replacement battery housing was fitted which restored full functionality.
