Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Electric fire remote controller arrived from Glasgow and on testing was found to be dead.
On opening, one of the terminals was foudn to be "bent" backwards meaning it wouldnt touch the battery properly. This was re-formed which restored partial funcitonality. The buttons were found to need to be pressed fairly hard to activate. This was due to worn contacts. Replacement conductive contacts were glued into place under all buttons which restored full functionality.
A Duracell battery was also fitted as the supplied battery was reading slightly low and was a non branded battery that would not last much longer.
