Reich Remote Repair Details

Manufacturer : Reich

Customers Fault Description : The red button doesn't seem work.

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This Motor mover remote control arrived safely from Bourne and on testing was found to have poor response to its double power button press.

This was found to be due to a high resistance on the buttons contact pad.  A replacement conductive pad was glued into place and then when retested the remote would power on each time the power button was double pressed.

This remote was return UGTEE stating that pressing the lower 4 buttons  (to move the motors into position) when pressed for a period of time would turn the remote off.

This was found not to be a fault and was actually just the remote "timing" out and auto shutting down to conserve battery power as per normal functionality.  Replacement conductive pads were glued under the buttons just in case but the contacts were found to be as normal.

This timeout function is not a fault and the issue seems not to be remote related, i.e. it may be that the actuator buttons are not used on the customers setup (some systems have a manual actuator system and not an automatic and all remotes still have the buttons in place but are not used in some systems)

Returned to customer 7th Aug 2023
