Customer's Fault Description
remote - literally fell into the toilet for 10 seconds ( clean water!) . slight water damage on face suggests that's the issue. I have another remote but it has no power registering at all so probably harder to fix so I'll send it after this one
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Velux remote control arrived safely from Glasgow and on testing the buttons were found not to respond.
There was water corrosion on one of the amin ICs (see image), this was cleaned up and lucking hadn't eaten through the pins. The button contacts were then cleared of all contaminants which when retested was found to have restored full functionality.
