Customer's Fault Description
The remote worked a few days ago but then went dead
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Skytronic Amplifier / Tuner remote control arrived safely from West Sussex and on testing was found to be dead.
The IR led and Oscillator was replaced which restored full functionality.
There was a strange bug whereby the remote would send a scrambled signal every now again, this was rectified by pressing the same button again.
Hopefully this issue will not develop further as it is functional at the moment but if the issue does get worse then it would be due to the IC which is encased in resin making a repair not possible. The customer is to test the remote fully on return, obviously we do guarantee the remote for a full 12 months.
