Customer's Fault Description
Shows low battery symbol even when new battery fitted. Only works intermittently. Service engineer was able to switch on the fire today, but then it wouldn't respond to turn off. Eventually turned off but then wouldn't turn on again.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote control for a Riva2 500 Gas fire arrived safely from Lymington and on testing was confirmed to have an erroneous battery indicator and damaged battery cable.
The regulator and cable was replaced which restored full functionality.
