Sherbourne Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : Sherbourne
Customers Fault Description : When remote is not working non of the buttons work when its working all of them work. Not working is most of the time. Leads tested with current tester show power along its length including the transformer.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This Electric chair remote control arrived safely from Telford and on inspection the cable was found to be very stiff at one end, this means that the internal insulation had composed and become "petrified".
Electronically the cable was reading as ok but after talking to the customer it was decided to replace the cable. A straight black cable was fitted and then the button contacts cleaned up.
