Customer's Fault Description
Hi there, the remote stoped working one day, tried new batteries but it didn't help. dismantled it to see if I could find an issue. (I couldn't) and put it back together. Unfortunately when I put it back together I also snapped the metal bit that connects to the AA battery!! SO there are 2 issues!
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Bose Surround Sound remote control arrived safely from Banham and on inspection was missing its battery cover (this cannot be replaced as spares are not available).
One of the terminals was confirmed to have been broken off the PCB, a replacement was fitted and then it was found that the usual 1R resistor was open circuit. This was replaced which then restored functionality (see image, in the image the message no signal is shown due to not being in the vicinity of the receiver)
