Quad Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : Quad
Customers Fault Description : Nothing happens at all . It just stopped working . Prior to this it was a bit erratic. Squeezing the back and front sometimes helped . I have a quad cd player with a separate remote ( only switches system on and controls the cd player . This works fine . Batteries are new .
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This Quad Audio equipment remote control arrived safely from Glasgow and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
On opening the IR LED was found to have bad dry joints. The solder was reflowed which restored full funcitonaity.
