Charging port pushed in, buttons flash when pressed

This BSSB remote control arrived safely from Boston and on inspectio nthe charge port was confirmed to have been ripped away from the PCB.  The was refitted into position but when testing the remote would charge the rechargeable battery but the remote would "Flash" as per the customers fault description when any button was pressed. 

Unfortuantely it is not known why this flash appears, there is limited schematic information on these items, it is possible that when the charge port was damaged it may have sent voltages to the main IC incorrectly, effectively corrupting the contents.

It is possible that the remote may need pairing with the receiver again but as we are unsure of the outcome we are not charging for a repair. 

Please remember to only use rechargeable batteries in this item as regular batteries will not work.
