Customer's Fault Description
There are 2 buttons... I and O
when you press I once then fire turns on and one light comes on in LH corner.
When you press I again then the heater comes on and another light comes on in the LH corner
The O button switches everything off
The exact opposite is happening ! The O button is doing what the I button SHOULD be doing but the i button doesnt work at all and you then have to switch off the fire manually on the rocker switch
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This electric convection fire remote control arrived safely from Flintshire and on adding batteries was found to be transmitting without any button being pressed.
This was due to contamination over the button array from the pads decomposing.
The PCB was cleared of all contaminants and then replacement conductive pads were glued under each of the buttons.
Full functionality was restored.
