Customer's Fault Description
Remote control did not activate fire. Replaced batteries in GV60. Noted some corrosion to battery compartment. New batteries did not make GV60 functional. Attempted Reset. No sound from receiver during reset procedure. Assume issue is with receiver.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
THis Flavel Curve Gas Fire remote control and receiver arrived safely from Cockermouth and on testing the remote was found to be functioning as normal but the receiver was dead due to badly corroded battery terminals.
The battery block in the receiver was replaced which restored full functionality.
