Dimplex RC01-021 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : No response from any button

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This Electric Fire remote control arrived safely from Hertford and on testing was found to be dead.

On opening there was signs of a battery leak (see image), the PCB and button contacts were cleared of all acidic contaminates and then a component test was carried out.  Unfortunately the issue was found to be the main IC which is encased under black resin which makes arepair not possible.
