No buttons seem to work now.
Despite changing batteries
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Sony DA3200ES AV AMP remote control arrived safely from Worthing and on inspection was found to be missing its IR Cover and battery cover (these cannot be replaced as spares are not available).
On testing the remote was confirmed to be dead.
When opening this was found to be due to a mass of contamination over a few of the buttons.
This was found to be "conductive" paint which someone had used to "replenish" the worn button contacts.
The PCB was cleaned properly then the conductive contacts cut off and replaced with conductive pads.
This restored full functionality.
