Customer's Fault Description
The remote control is powered by a 9V battery that you push into a small contact point. The contact point has two wires attached to it, and one of the wires has come away. We suspect a simple reconnection is all that is required.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Loft hatch remote control arrived safely and on inspection the battery cable was broken and one of the buttons was open circuit.

Both buttons were replaced as well as the battery cable which restored full functionality.
