Customer's Fault Description
LEDS no longer always working. No functions work. Just stopped working one day. Have changed battery but still does not work.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Cooker hood extractor fan remote control arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
On opening the issue was found to be due to the battery terminals being bent our of position (see image). This happens when a battery is inserted upside down. The terminals were soldered firmly back into position which restored full functionality.
A replacement Duracell battery will be supplied fitted on return. When it is time to replace the battery it is important to make a note of the orientation of the battery before fully removing. If the battery is inserted upside down it will damage the terminals.
