Customer's Fault Description
Gas fire cannot be turned on with the remote control . LED light on remote turns on but the LED light on the receiver does not when the remote buttons are pressed. When I checked the remote output by placing it up to a web cam there were no IR lights emitted. Other TV controls showed a pulsing IR light so maybe the remote is at fault? All batteries have been renewed!
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote and receiver arrived safely from Rickmansworth and on testing the remote was found not to transmit a signal on any button press.
This was due to a faulty transducer in the handset. A replacement transducer was fitted which restored full functionality. Please note that these items are Ultrasonic and not Infra Red.
No fault was found with the receiver.
