Customer's Fault Description
Remote does not appear to have any power. Before it broke, the battery appeared to drain extremely quickly (2 battery changes in 2 weeks).
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Ceiling extractor fan remote control arrived safely and on inspection the facia was partially peeled back prior to arrival with us.
On testing the remote was dead even with a new battery and the replacement battery would get warm straight away.
This was found to be due to a short circuit filter capacitor. Once this was replaced full functionality was restored. The facia was stuck down using double sided tape (replacement facias are not available as spares)
