Electriq Remote Repair Details

Manufacturer : Electriq

Customers Fault Description : Remote does not appear to have any power. Before it broke, the battery appeared to drain extremely quickly (2 battery changes in 2 weeks).

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This Ceiling extractor fan remote control arrived safely and on inspection the facia was partially peeled back prior to arrival with us.

On testing the remote was dead even with a new battery and the replacement battery would get warm straight away.

This was found to be due to a short circuit filter capacitor.  Once this was replaced full functionality  was restored.  The facia was stuck down using double sided tape (replacement facias are not available as spares)
