Fire does not respond to remote control - batteries have been tested and are ok
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Dimplex Electric Fire remote control arrived safely and on testing was found to be transmitting without any button being pressed.  This was found to be due to contamination over the button contacts which were shorting the buttons out.

The PCB was cleared of all contaminants and then replacement conductive pads glued under both button pads.  Full functionality was restored.
