This Panasonic DMR-PWT550EB remote control arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to have numerous non functioning buttons.

When opened the issue was found to be due to a large amount of liquid inside the remote control (see image).  The PCB and button contacts were all cleared of contaminants which restored full functionality to all buttons.
