Customer's Fault Description
The remote control was dropped on the floor and now it doesn't work at all. If you gently shake it, it rattles and sounds like something inside has broken or come loose
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This gas fire remote control arrived safely and on inspection was confirmed to be dead and would rattle when shook.
On opening the large vanity metal weight was found to have broken away from the PCB and was effectively shorting out contacts within tythe remote. The weight was hot glued firmly back into position which restored full functionality.
