Customer's Fault Description
Battery terminals deformed making it difficult to switch on. It will switch on occasionally if batteries happen to be in the correct position.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This remote arived safely and on inspectio nthe battery terminal springs were found to be "weak".  The two terminal pairs were replaced which made the battery connection more solid.

Also the power button was slightly worn, a replacement conductive pad was glued under the power button.

The remote was then tested and found to power up on every double power button press as per normal operation.
