Remote Fixer Repair Response
This electric fireplace controller arrived safely and on testing was found to be dead.
On opening unfortunately the entire PCB was covered in corrosion, it appears that the remote has suffered a major liquid contamination.
Unfortunately the remote was unable to be repaired but after talking to the customer it was concluded to try to extract the IR code from the remote and create a clone. This was done. An image of the clone can be seen bellow.
