Powertouch Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : Powertouch
Customers Fault Description : Detached negative wire to battery connector. Also when battery is connected handset is permanently on. Green light on constantly and should only light up when two on buttons are depressed for a few seconds.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This remote arrived safely and on inspection was confirmed to have a damaged battery cable. A replacement cable was fitted which restored full functionality.
The issue of the green lights being on all the time could not be replicated but there was contamination over the edge connector for the button array which "might" have been a cause. This was cleared of all contaminants. The remote was then tested over a 2 day period at random intervals with not issue being found.
