It seems that the battery leaked in the remote control and it no longer works
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Electric fire remote control arrived safely and on testing was found to be transmitting on each button as per normal operation.  The remote was opened but no issue could be found.

The code being transmitted was confirmed to be corect on each button press.

The remote was then tested over a 3 day period without any issues being replicated.

This item has been classed as no fault found.
