Customer's Fault Description
Battery casing corroded. Not sure how far the corrosion goes inside the remote.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on testing was dead. The terminals had signs of a battery leak, the terminals were reworked which restored power but the remote would not respond to any button press. Instead when waved around the remote would randomly sent garbled infra red signals.
Unfortunately this was eventually found to be due the the main IC breaking down internally, sadly a replacement has not been found.
A google search was carried out and a replacement original remote control can be found here - https://ebay.us/3g8ygn - Please check with the seller for further details.
This item was disposed of as per the customers email request 21st July 2024
